Assuming there is something in the air my endo said it would be wise to implement low doses of HC to prevent adrenal crisis. Two weeks ago I underwent a minor surgical operation (carpal tunnel syndrome). As far as I know all benzodiazepines cause statisically significant decrease of serum cortisol level and can slightly supress ACTH secretion. Important thing: I was on Xanax for a month directly before my ACTH/cortisol labs. (3) normal levels of sodium (139-140) and potassium (4,50-4,80) Īnyway, it looks like an early stage of SAI, but my MRI showed no tumor/neuroinflammation/sign of stroke in pituitary glands/hypothalamaus. (2) no 21-hydroxylase antiobodies present (1) morning cortisol 8 ug/dL (and 12 ug/dL week later), ACTH 6 pg/mL (and 16 pg/mL week later) I am in the middle of diagnostic process. It is getting worse every month but thera are still some days when I feel almost okay. I’ve been experiencing ‘typical' AI symptoms since last October (constant but rather mild fatigue, weight loss, hangover-like mood, orthostatic hypotension, dizziness, muscle and joint pain, lower back pain, dumbness in my hands and feet, sometimes shakiness). Also, I am not a native speaker so forgive my grammar.
